public interface SqiThere is a need to indicate the quality of a signal (or group of signals) throughout the architecture. This is done by adding extra signals/data in form of Signal Quality Indicators (SQI). Based on the SQI the upper layers can determine if the data from lower layers are appropriate to use.
The SQI’s shall be based on a 32 bit integer and the value range is as follows: SQI range; -100 to 100 is used for general quality indication common for all applications SQI range; -2147483648 to -101 and 101 to 2147483647 can be used for application specific indicators Values < 0 are used for error indication. Values > 1 are used for cases where the signal is ok or might be degraded (but can still be used in some cases).
